City & State Virtual Congressional Candidate Forum sponsored by AARP New York

AARP New York is committed to informing its 2.5 million members statewide and the public on where candidates stand on key issues that the 50+ population in New York cares about.

On November 1st at 1pm we are hosting Bridget Fleming and Nick Lalota who are the Congressional candidates for NY District 1.  The main issues that will be addressed are as follows:

·       Social Security:  Social Security is a promise that must be kept. If elected, how would you protect earned Social Security benefits for the future?

·       Medicare:  Medicare provides critical health coverage for older Americans. If elected, how would you strengthen it for the future?

·       Prescription Drugs:  Americans pay the highest prescription drug prices in the world. If elected, how will you lower prescription drug prices for all Americans?

·       Caregiving:  America’s long-term care system is broken. If elected, how will you make affordable, quality long-term care options available, especially at home, while also supporting family caregivers?
