George Amedore Opens Committee For 63rd Senate Seat

This was rumored since essentially the moment that revelations about the Senate Republicans creating a 63rd Senate seat came to light, but wealthy Assemblyman George Amedore just registered a committee to run for state Senate.

The district, stretching from the capital region to the mid-Hudson,  was made quite Republican. Senate Democrats have already filed a lawsuit to prevent the creation of the seat.

The Senate district listed on Amedore’s campaign committee is N/A — meaning that Amedore is likely holding out for the number of the new district to possibly be altered.
