Koch Expects Better Obama Performance Tonight
* Count former New York City Mayor Ed Koch as one of the many who expect President Barack Obama to do a better job in tonight’s town hall debate with Mitt Romney than the “debacle” of his first presidential debate performance in which Obama was “totally unprepared.” “I assume that they both have all their lines down, and that we’re going to see a terrific affair, but it doesn’t lend itself asking questions of the other person because it’s a town hall meeting,” Koch said. “I have no doubt that President Obama will acquit himself very well this time.” Koch added that even though Obama won’t have the same opportunities to take on Romney directly, “nevertheless, I believe in answering the questions posed from the floor, he will work in his attacks and criticisms of Romney. I’m sure they’ve given a lot of thought as to how to do that.”
