2021 NYC 40 Under 40

Each year, City & State honors 40 talented individuals under the age of 40 who work in New York City government, politics, and advocacy. Rising Star members have already distinguished themselves in the eyes of their colleagues and are on their way to amassing many more noteworthy accomplishments.

For the very first time we are proud to also present “10 in their 20s”, an extension of our annual 40 Under 40 Award in NYC. With over 500 nominations this year, we have created a special Watch List for future rising stars for 10 people in their 20s already making their mark on NYC government.

This year’s 40 Rising Star and 10 Watch List winners will be profiled in the October 11th issue of City & State magazine, and we will celebrate with a virtual event on October 13th with a live panel of government and industry leaders
