The procurement process continues to be a major source of business for private organizations in New York. However, successfully navigating the process remains difficult and out of reach for many organizations. The Government Procurement Conference fostered business partnerships between the city and state level government, prime contractors, and small, minority, service-disabled veteran-owned, veteran-owned, and women-owned businesses.

Strengthening New York’s MWBE and Small Business Programs

New York has made it easy and has promoted doing business with MWBEs, LGBTBEs, and SDVOBs and small businesses. New York has made it clear that we are committed to providing critical resources to help them succeed as well. This all allows for New York’s economy to become the strongest, most diverse, accessible, and inclusive for small businesses, MWBEs. How can organizations best take advantage of the many opportunities offered by the government? What are the programs we should all know about? Our experts discuss this, and the process the government undertakes for discretionary purchases for items or services from these groups.
