Add Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal to the growing list of lawmakers who have endorsed state Senate candidate Robert Jackson.

The Upper West Side politician joins fellow past and current electeds Rep. Jerrold Nadler, former Rep. Charles Rangel, former New York City Mayor David Dinkins, Assemblywomen Deborah Glick and Inez Dickens, New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson and New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer in backing Jackson over incumbent state Sen. Marisol Alcantara.

Rosenthal campaigned with Jackson outside the famous Zabar’s gourmet grocery store on the Upper West Side on Saturday, helping him explain to passers-by why they should help vote out the former Independent Democratic Conference member.

“I have a good number of bills in the Assembly, and that I pass in the Assembly, that did not get through the (state) Senate … as does the rest of the Assembly, that are stymied in the state Senate because of the alliance of the IDC and the Republicans,” Rosenthal said. “And we need some new, energetic representation here in the 31st Senatorial District.”

Rosenthal had previously endorsed then-candidate Micah Lasher in a close race with Jackson and Alcantara in 2014. Lasher chose not to run this year and endorsed Jackson early on.
