In order to issue IDNYC cards, New York City collected copies of the following forms of ID through December 2016.

Many applicants were undocumented immigrants. The information was originally scheduled to be destroyed in December, but a lawsuit brought by Assembly members Nicole Malliotakis and Ron Costorina has halted that process.

The following numbers are based on information requested during the Castorina, et al. v. New York City Human Resources Administration/Department of Social Services et al. court case. The city also collected other forms of ID, including Social Security cards.
