Health equity forum to discuss Vitiligo

Vitiligo is one of the most visible chronic conditions, but its broader health impacts are often overlooked. As an autoimmune disease, vitiligo can affect far more than skin pigmentation, with consequences for patients’ physical health, emotional well-being and quality of life.

The Health Equity Forum: Vitiligo Awareness, Access & Action on September 15th in Manhattan will bring together healthcare professionals, patient advocates and policymakers to examine these challenges and explore opportunities for meaningful change.

The discussion will ask a fundamental question: What does health equity look like for people living with a condition that is highly visible, yet frequently misunderstood?

The forum will open with keynote remarks from David Brooks, group vice president and head of global medical affairs at Incyte, whose work comes at the intersection of medical science, patient needs and the development of treatments for immune-mediated conditions. Incyte has made vitiligo part of its broader focus on inflammation and autoimmunity, including research and treatments aimed at addressing the underlying immune pathways involved in the disease.
