Publisher’s Note: City & State Florida is now live online

Our expansion into the Sunshine State now has its own website for 24/7 access to our award-winning content, events information and growing roster of power lists.

City & State Florida is now live! Our expansion into the Sunshine State became official yesterday with the launch of our City & State Florida website

As with City & State New York and Pennsylvania, political power players in Florida now have their own online go-to hub for policy-driven news as well as deep dive analysis on politics, policy and personalities. The site provides a home for City & State’s award-winning content, as well information about our upcoming events and access to a growing roster of power lists.

The Florida website launch comes just months after we expanded into the state. In January, our parent company, Govexec, acquired News Service of Florida, a 13-year-old subscription daily based in Tallahassee that provides groundbreaking coverage of Florida State politics. Up next, City & State Florida’s morning newsletter, First Read launches early next week. And look for City & State’s first Florida Power 100 list in July, highlighting both those in power and those who have real access to power. The first City & State Florida magazine also will be delivered in both digital and print versions the same month.

Our local operations in the Sunshine State are overseen by City & State Florida Editor-in-Chief James Rosica and Publisher Matthew Gull, both industry veterans, who are well-known in the state’s political community.

This expansion south for City & State continues our vision of taking our unique model across the country. We’ve hit the mark with New York and last year in Pennsylvania and we’re confident that our new Florida editorial team will be just as unique and provocative when it comes to delivering the political news Florida’s decision-makers need to know.
