"I think the way that you move around the city, it influences the way in which you see the city,” then-New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani told Wired last October. “Too often if you’re riding around only in a car with tinted windows, the only New Yorker you might see is a reflection of yourself.”
As mayor, Mamdani is often sitting behind those tinted SUV windows. He’s not alone. From deputy mayors to agency heads, here’s who else gets a car and driver in the Mamdani administration, according to a freedom of information request returned in late May.
